MayB(iMC)
This where I’ll be next month! The BrisStyle team has been working hard to secure some great market dates this year. In addition to the BrisStyle Indie Designers Market at St Augustine’s Church Hamilton there are a series of Twilight Markets in King George Square, and two BrisStyle Eco Market dates. You can find the details as well as links to all the talented BrisStyle sellers here.
BrisStyle is a cooperative group of talented Australian artists, crafters and artisans who live in the South-East Queensland area. BrisStyle sellers design and make all their products - nothing imported or mass-produced. The BrisStyle Indie Mother and Child Market is the only market that offers genuine locally-sourced handmade products. So come along and support home-grown talent!
Swingin’ shoulder bags

Here is some more new stock that I have made for The Village Markets.
These shoulder bags are made from fab vintage fabric (of course!) in lots of crazy colours. The bags are a generous size and are great for a trip to the local craft market or a day out at the beach.
Cute clutches
This is what I have been working on for The Village Market at Burleigh State School this weekend. Cute clutch purses made from vintage and retro fabric with buttons from Great-aunt Pamela’s stash.
I’ll be at the market from 8am until 1pm with lots of gorgeous goods made by me and by Emma of Felicia Fairy Designs. Come along and say hi!
Holy sheet! It’s vintage fabric FQs
Vintage sheeting fat quarters are selling like hotcakes in my etsy store at the moment. The soft cotton pieces in vibrant colours and bold floral prints are just right forquilting, homewares or clothing projects .
I’ll be listing more over the coming weeks so be sure to check www.alipink.etsy.com
BiDM & TVM - Wrapped up!
Wow! What a huge weekend. It was fantastic to be out with the super-talented stallholders of both the BrisStyle Indie Designer’s Market and The Village Market. The rain stayed away, and we even got some sunshine. As it was my birthday recently I had license to spend as well as sell. Here’s what I got;
A bowl by Bec of Spun Mud; Luscious earrings by Nicole of Hot Toffee; Bel’s pretty and delicious cupcake decorations - buy them in her store Enticing Icing; Pretty flower earrings by Amanda of Hungry Designs (mine are white); A maxi-dress made out of vintage sheeting (my favourite type of material!) by Lola & Maree; And a dress from Felicia Fairy Designs for my big girl who shared her 5th birthday with the first BiDM of 2010. Can’t wait to see what I’ll find at the next markets!
The pink & yellow swap
I love swaps! I participated in the first DUST swap of 2010 recently. My swap partner was Rocio of Little Yellow and her delightful package arrived today. The earrings and necklace are for me and the hair pins are for my little girls. Beautiful!
I chose a very special vintage fabric for Rocio’s swap gift after we discovered a shared love of all things pink, orange and yellow. Hope she likes it!
BiDM 2010. Hooray!
It’s time for the BrisStyle Indie Designer’s Market again. From 9am until 2pm Saturday 6th March at St Augustine’s Church, Hamilton, Brisbane.
Click on the link to see all the fabulous participants. Hope to see you there!
February fancies
Here is my new range of badges. These creations give me a chance to use up remnant pieces of fabric and felt as well as dipping into my button stash.
I’ll be selling these and other goodies at The Village Market this Sunday 7th February. I am sharing my stall with the lovely and talented Emma of Felicia Fairy Designs. Hope to see you there.
