Start as you mean to go on…..

scissor-cases-copy Happy New Year!

I have been working hard to complete my UFOs (un-finished objects) and bring to fruition all the ideas for projects that are floating around in my head.  Today I finished sewing a quilt for my bed.  It is the largest quilting project that I have attempted and I am delighted that it turned out as I imagined.  I will put up some pictures next post as the light today is not photography-friendly.

Here is another little project that I made whilst Play School was on - cases for my sewing scissors and pinking shears.  I used leftover denim from my satchel bags, some bias binding from my stash and vintage buttons.  The pincushion was made by Bel of EmBelIsh.  It was another one of my BrisStyle Indie Designer Market purchases.

Next on the list - refashioned clothes for the girls, a new bag and more quilts.

This is gorgeous! And so interesting! It just pulls you in, wanting to get closer so you can know…what’s going on in there? They look like a procession of revelers holding candles up in the air and celebrating something and with a magnificent sunset in the background, twilight about to enfold them.
