New stock

boy-pencil-cases Here is a sneak peak at some of the stock I have been making for Mathilda’s Market.  The 19th July is fast approaching and my lovely husband has taken the kids to visit relatives so that I can maximise my sewing time.

Today I finished off these zippered pencil cases.  Basically they are a slightly bigger version of my zippered purse in boy-friendly fabric.  They were just as fun to make.

I am also working hard to complete some satchel bags.  I have decided that they need an adjustable strap to make them suitable for kids of all ages.  Below is a pic of one that I finished this afternoon.

Hope to see you all at the market in a couple of weeks!

Bris Style

I have recently become a member of the Bris Style etsy street team.  It is a cooperative group of artists, crafters and artisans who sell on etsy and are based around Brisbane.

They are holding a market, The Bris Style Indie Designers Market, on Saturday 4 July, St Augustines Church Hall, Racecourse Rd, Hamilton.  I’ll be there to check it out!
Check out their website for details of Bris Style sellers, give aways and other cool stuff  http://brisstyle.blogspot.com/

Here is my latest custom order.  I made it for Liz from hundreds of buttons. She is another member of the DUST Team.  As well as being a suportive and friendly forum for Australian etsy sellers, DUST is a great place to find amazing handmade goodies. It is the first place that I look when I am gift shopping.

Liz wanted a zippered tote bag with light-coloured lining so that she could see the contents of her bag.  I think we can all relate to that!  And she chose the gorgeous vintage linen fabric with the wildflower print.  I am glad that special fabric is going to a good home.

DUST Winter Sale

winter-purse-60s Here is one of the items that I have listed in the DUST Team Aussie Winter Wonderland June Sale.  This little purse is made from classic Sixties curtain fabric that I have been saving in my stash box.  It is lined with crimson fabric that matches the main fabric perfectly - I love it when that happens!  There are some beautiful items on sale so why not start your Christmas shopping early?

In other news… alipink purses, bags and cards are on sale at Rarefunk.  Stay tuned for pics and more details!

And I am making good progress with my preparations for Mathilda’s Market in July.  Have a look at the website for a sneak peak of my stall as well as other sellers.  My pic is the one with the two little zippered purses.
